The concern is that omnicron is currently the strongest of the all covid strains that has undergone significant mutations to be more transmissive, potentially evade current vaccines which will pervasive the global population. Spread can only be managed but not controlled.
The virus will continue to mutate and evade our immune defenses for its own survival
Hopefully BIT can counter the new omnicron covid strain and any sort of clinical development is fast tracked.
