In part you may be correct Reichman, however you even misquoted me stating I "hated all'. I never said any such thing, that is how easy a misquote can stem into another meaning altogether?

Trust is something earned, once breached significantly it is difficult to regain if ever. It is unfortunate that it is the profession that I am now very guarded with as a consequence, nothing against individual people.

Perhaps more correct for me to state if I ever had the same put to me again I would politely decline. If I thought honourable and worthy of inclusion in any article I would absolutely insist on proof reading the final edit and a written guarantee from both the paper and journalist they would not change my approved review. That of course would never occur, so safe to say I will never be in the same position again.

As for interrogation it maybe too harsh a term, however I have often shared here only to be constantly questioned as to my motives or otherwise. Rarely taken on face value, of which I can understand. I spend a lot of personal time researching PEN, surely others can then look for themselves as to whether I am right or wrong.

Often I only give a small amount of information in the hope it will cause others to look deeper for themselves. Giving them a "fishing rod instead of a fish" so to speak.
