The drilling of the Samo well the Stena Drillmax arrived on site on Oct 21st and FAR announced the well being unsuccessful on Nov 9th. On the 19th day from arrival to announcement.
Stena Icemax arrived on site on Nov 12. Dec 1st was the 19th day.
Samo Depth was 1000mtr water and 3100mtr total depth
Bambo depth is 930mtr water and 3400mtr total depth.
So Bambo has 300mtr extra depth but 370mtr extra drilling through ocean bottom. Samo averaged 163mtr per day for total drill to announcement so Bambo should take around 21 to 22 days using Samo statistics. That would put an unsuccessful announcement being release Friday (21 days) at the earliest. Monday will be D day. No announcement Monday and assuming no problems encountered during the drilling would push the odds of some sort of success in shareholders favour.
