As a trader and chartist if you start looking for a reason for an anomalous share price/volume structure then you run the risk of bias....unless it's very obvious like an issue after the event.
The bar I posted about occured before any announcement and gave the strongest warning - you're here to make money and quickly and it was obvious from the open that there was trouble. (5m. chart). Now after selling on that bar we look at what happens from here - we've already saved a 13% loss so we use the same principles - VSA, again.
