Gannett Co Inc: media/publishing (84 newspapers + others) company has beaten expectations - better than expected increase in advertising?
Apple up 7% after close with better than expected earnings. Decreasing dollar and high international adoption of products is probably making up for lack of US consumer strength. They are still selling however, which is positive.
I think yes it's good we saw some positive results to confirm the rise over the last couple of months, but are we seeing organic growth in revenues? we need profits from increased sales, not just from lower costs.
