Remember that Linc Energy are already miles ahead of anyone else with plenty of coal in their acreage & a CTL trial plant at Chinchilla in QLD. IMO, NHC are setting themselves up for the future as can b seen with their strategic investment in CSG explorers, AOE & Planet Gas, for now.

They picked up 120.6m AOE shares for $111.7m back in July '06. Should NHC dump these at the current market price of $4.35, thats a huge windfall for NHC, a profit of $413.34m. Already they have nil debt & plenty of cash in hand (close to a billion $'s) & decent coal sales, so they r fine for now.

IMHO, New Hope's management already has a Plan-B handy (after their recent CTL trial), on top of their conventional coal mining & profit from the sales, worth keeping an eye on, in the future.
