Hydrogen energy is the future if it can outcompete all other energy systems like nat gas oil coal nuclear solar batteries wind biomass etc.
Hydrogen is clean but it has many limitations to overcome to be a top tier energy.
Hydrogen is not free it has to use energy from some thing else to be manufactured from some thing else which in turn means it not carbon neutral unless it used renewable energy like solar which is unreliable and also has a very low energy density.
So the future for no carbon is nuclear which has its own unique environmental issues or the next best is natural gas because renewables cant supply enough reliable energy.
Hydrogen energy and H powered vehicles are just novelty products being peddled to gullible wana believers who think they are saving the planet.
