Yep they are all down by similar amounts and it started before Omicron. But WHY is the reason? I would say Affirm got the ball rolling and all the other BNPL stocks started following them down. They never went up with them but sure love following them down.

After the initial glory of the exclusive Amazon deal, the price went from $133 up to $151. It hovered up there for about a week and then started to head down on the 17th Nov (still up at $151). That's around a 25% drop.

On 26th Nov Friday when we first heard about Omicron Affirm shot up 4% to $140. Now it's 113.75. So around 19% drop since then.

So a 25% drop since the exclusive Amazon and 19% drop since Cyber Monday after initially rallying 4% on the first day of Omicron panic.

So yeah not much in it, but is Affirm dropping the reason why every other BNPL followed them down roughly 30%? Omicron was a positive for Affirm on the first night of panic, rallying 4%. Then it decided to tank along with everyone else.

lol I wont say the warrants are the cause for the drop but all the bnpl stocks tanking started at the same time as Affirm even though they never went up when Affirm has been rallying for so long. I question WHY Affirm started to fall on the 17th after such a good exclusive deal with the biggest retailer in the world.

Pretend Affirm never made the warrants deal. Would it have dropped 25% since that day? Affirm also went up 4% on the first day of panic with the DOW down 900 points or so. Sounds like Omicron should be a positive for Affirm but it only lasted a day. You can say its inconclusive with Omicron on the scene, so we'll never know for sure if it would have continued to fall 25% without Omicron. Omicron itself should be a positive for online shopping. So maybe that's why the CNBC peeps were blaming the warrants.
