The parents have just been charged with involuntary manslaughter.
They bought their 15 year old son a semi-automatic hand gun as an early Christmas present 4 days before the shooting even though he was not permitted to have control of a hand gun till 18 yrs of age.
The gun was (legally in Michigan) in an unlocked draw in his parents bedroom.
When a teacher caught him searching for ammo online on his phone and tried to contact his mother, she sent him a text saying “I am not cross, you just have to learn how not to get caught”.
