    If you look at the last election, Labor was smashing the Coalition in the polls.

    No one expected the Coalition to win. No one. The result was at complete odds to the polls. We still really don't really know why.

    No doubt Shorten's unpopularity had an impact as did the lack of detail about Labor's environmental policies. Consequently, people went with " the devil they knew ".

    So, as inept and dishonest as Morrison is, Labor needs to be careful that this doesn't happen again. While I don't think Albo is much of a leader, he is definitely more affable than Shorten. That said, he is no more popular than Morrison according to the polls.

    This is probably Labor's election to lose but they could still lose it easily I reckon.
