I have a German brother-in-law to remind me how grossly cruel the Germans were in WW11, but my experience as a very young person in WW11 certainly ensures I need no reminders!
But no I have no problem discussing those awful events with a German who is married to a close friend, but discussing it with my German brother-in-law is definitely verboten!
