It is possible that the vaccinated may still catch Covid. But going on the UK records, you are far less likely to land up in hospital and/or die.
This is all trial and some error of course as we are all aware. I do understand the hesitancy regarding the vaccine of course. But the records show that at present vaccination is the most sensible way.
The whole situation has been awful for many. Now it has got into the Aboriginal community in the Norther Territory. The vaccination rate is very low there. I fear for these people.
From my personal perspective, I am double vaxxed not just to protect myself, but hopefully to protect others. We had no significant side effects apart from feeling a bit tired the next day.
Hopefully within a couple of weeks we will discover more about the latest virus.
