So far the only negatives I have heard about Omicron is that from the main stream media, I saw a news report last week about it, where a scientist (remember they keep saying trust the science) said this could be great thing as far as Covid goes, due to the fact it spreads quicker but has had no major effect for hospitals with no cases, very ill or in ICU, yet the reporter was taking questions like will the hospitals be able to cope, just after it????? Or how will they stop the threat of it getting out???

So the science says this could be a game changer for the better but the media see it as disastrous, I will trust the science as it becomes available.
