Thats a fairly harsh assessment of the broking industry. The vast majority of stockbrokers I believe set out to build long term wealth for their clients through a broad diversified portfolio.

Even if they leave cash aside for speculation the majority would still want to spread this around.

Do you really believe they would be down in court every day.

Brokers will be relying on feedback from parties associated with either side.

The vast majority would be getting the MMX feedback that everything is A OK.

Sadly for them the current MMX team werent there at the time or cant remember but thats another story.
