one can really only judge these stories when one looks back decades
I suspect the bad leader stages for both Libs, Labor -------- and, their knifing leader stages that are so recent -
these things are part of a recipe - what the cake looks like when it comes out in 20 years?????

if one looks at history ---------- it's really time flowing - or us flowing through time -- brush one wall - doesn't stop the process or change it all that much - it marches on regardless ------------ flow over one rock - same deal
the flow just keeps going -- if we look back at the huge changes in history in the last - ? 150 years - we see that an event - may have started or not started something - but, - we are where we are anyway and we've got no idea where we'd be if that event didn't happen
be it something small or something huge - like if we didn't have WW1 - where would we be?

I've no idea what Abbott being PM has catalyzed - nor Rudd - nor Morrison.
