Kids wanting to enter the trades industry should be leaving school after year ten and getting themselves skilled at a younger age. Getting their tradesmans wage at 19 and making a strong start in life. The last two years are an utter waste of time for tradies. Then we wouldn't be subsidizing 22 year old apprentices for housing etc that they cannot afford on apprentice wages.
Worked for a bloody long time.
