Should see this lift a bit in the next week or so depending on how the CR is structured. Dilution will occur but the question is how much. At the moment with all the unrest in retail investor land, I would prefer a placement with a big pension fund or someone in it for the long term. A discounted SPP to existing holders has the effect of a large chunk of shares being bought with borrowed money in the hope of selling off for a quick profit. That has the effect of actually keeping a lid on the SP until they are mopped up. In fact 80% of recent SPPs I have been involved in have a much lower SP several months after the offer than they did at the time of offer. Yes market has influenced but IMO retail investors have got more nervous and dumped because they borrowed money to back a sure thing.
