It might help you if you think of Lidar as a bat at night darting about echolocating insects on the wing in a dense forest. Then think of stereoscopic video as a morbidly obese fat-o-gram that you wish had got the wrong address. See the difference now? Lidar give you just the information you need to act. Yours.. is, well, "unsee this".
