no not at all. Cheap iron ore hermitite, produces cheap steel. Magnetite produces more expensive steel, but better environmental pollution, dont have to burn so much coal.

Magnetite is still the most expensive steel by far. Nothing stopping using a mixture of Magnetite and hermitite, as long as the steel mill can handle it.

is magnitite going to replace hermitite, absolutely not, hermitite will be preferred over Magnetite all the time, unless the price of iron ore, is really low, then its worth the mills spend a bit more money on Magnetite to reduce pollution. When the price is low most Magnetite are hanging on my a tread anyways, and reduce supply to try and get prices up
