    Hi Diva,

Of all the things to be concerned about BRN over the past couple of years, the new CEO not immediately addressing shareholders should be pretty low on the list.

Sean is a new CEO, in a new industry, in a pre-revenue company, with an unusually loyal (and in many cases well researched) body of shareholders - that’s a lot for anyone to swallow. If I were in his position, I would want to be well informed and confident that my address was rounded, informative, and was in-keeping of the parameters of any contractual obligations - which brings me to my next point.

Peter, Anil, the board have to be confident in Sean’s knowledge (not ability - they obviously are or else he wouldn’t have been offered the position) of the company, before he starts to publicly represent it. This engagement is different to what many other CEOs step into. Often a new CEO is replacing an old one that has moved away from a company, sometime they may be given the luxury of a “handover”, other times not. In almost all cases though the departing CEO would have their own best interest (which often at this stage will be sitting with another company) in mind. With Sean it’s different. Peter - founder, and larger shareholder of the company is the one handing the rains over to him, and he is going nowhere. Peter will want piece of mind that Sean understands all the fine details of his new role, Akida, the vision of BRN, the strategy, basic neuromorphic computing, and most importantly the customers - specifically those participating in the EAP.

To expect Sean to step in front of a camera as soon as he commenced the role is unrealistic and completely unnecessary. Nobody wants to hear him discuss his children, favourite wine, or how he likes to take long walks on the beach - this would do more harm than good. We want to see a dynamic, hungry, well informed CEO, demonstrating a true grasp on the company and what the strategic objectives are.

I personally would absolutely expect to see this either just before Christmas - or at the start of the new year. The company podcast would be an appropriate platform to deliver this, and given the length of them would support this post.
