yeah I had a read of the report heres the key part
"Australia
The Company has two gold Exploration Licences (E52/1641 and P52/1166 -“the tenements”).
The tenements are located immediately west and north-northwest of Peak Hill, Western
Australia. Peak Hill is some 130km north-northeast of Meekatharra and 850km north of
Perth.
Peak Hill became a significant mining centre when gold was discovered in 1982. Total gold
production for the Peak Hill area is in excess of 850 000oz, predominantly from the former
Peak Hill, Fiveways, Jubilee, Mount Pleasant and Harmony gold mines. The goldfield forms
part of a larger gold province that extends to the Labouchere, Fortnum and Horseshoe mines
to the northwest which collectively have produced in excess of 1.5 million ounces of gold.
The Peak Hill goldfield is located along the southern margin of the Proterozoic belt and the
northern edge of the Yilgarn Craton and lies within the western part of the Palaeoproterozoic
Bryah Basin. The area comprises mafic and ultramafic volcanic rocks (Narracoota
Formation), and turbiditic metasedimentary rocks, banded iron formation (BIF) and associated
clastic rocks (Horseshoe and Ravelstone Formations).
At Peak Hill the gold deposits are hosted by mylonitic schist, metasedimentary and/or
metavolcanic rocks of the Peak Hill Schist (Palaeoproterozoic or Archaean), whilst to the
north-northwest of Peak Hill gold deposits are hosted in the mafic volcanic rocks of the
Narracoota Formation.
The Company’s tenements are prospective for mesothermal gold-only style deposits.
P52/1166 lies approximately 2km due west of the abandoned Fiveways Pit at Peak Hill, whilst
E52/1641 lies approximately 25km northeast of the abandoned Horseshoe Pit (previously
Horseshoe Lights) gold-copper-silver deposit and immediately north of the Saturn gold
prospect.
During the period under review, the Company has completed desk top studies to reassess all
previous exploration work conducted over the tenements with the aim of generating geological
test targets. The Company has received a standard Heritage Agreement from the
Nharnuwangga Wajarri and Ngarlawangga people, through the Jidi Jidi Aboriginal
Corporation, which when executed will secure access rights to the tenements."
I now have a much better understanding of the SFR discovery and area and it seems the key is the "Narracoota Volcanics" which run from SFR's discover in a South Westerly direction
So Im starting to realise just becasue GLN is close to SFR doesnt mean they have the same geological sequence as the DeGrussa discovery
However the company did say this "whilst to the
north-northwest of Peak Hill gold deposits are hosted in the mafic volcanic rocks of the Narracoota Formation"
Will wait for the quarterly still, I dont have a large GLN position and was going to buy more but am going to wait and see what the quarterly says first hence my hold sentiment
