By chance I saw a 330-200 approaching sydney today and when I checked my app it said it was Christchurch to Sydney, so I’m assuming it was on a freight run of some description?
For the record, most people I speak to are too hesitant to book an international flight, despite them having plenty of leave to take and plenty of disposable income. Most people we know are simply getting in a car and driving to the NSW mid north coast or south coast. I don’t know anybody who is taking an international trip this Christmas (very unusual for our circle of friends and family).
On top of this, the one couple who booked a return flight to London, recently cancelled the flight (last week) when they heard the nonsense which governments around the world were carrying on with because of ‘Omicron’.
