All of my children went through high cost private schools . I am happy with the result . It was a battle sometimes to find the fees . The top students in the private system will be the top students in any school . I think where you get the advantage in private education is with the lower achievers . I know the marks published by elite schools are increased by "poaching" top students from the Govt schools with scholarships . But at the end of the day , I want to choose where I send my children , and if I choose to make the sacrifices to send them to what he wrongly calls an elite school , then I expect that as an Australian , the Govt will give me the same backing no matter which private school I choose . They will become elite schools if he gets his way .This will backfire on Latham .
No matter how much he stirs up this issue I am sure at the end of the day people will see this election for what it is , the guy with the ruins of Liverpool Council in his wake , now telling us he is ready to run this country .
