My daughter in London phoned to tell me she has COVID. She tells me she feels terrible and has a shocking cough. Also, British NHS gives all people saliva test kits for free. She uses these kits to initially diagnose COVID and then to indicate when she no longer has the disease. It does NOT monitor severity.
To my way of thinking the significant value of our COVID diagnostic AI would be the ability to monitor disease progression. In a serious COVID sufferer there needs to be an earlier ‘trigger’ to warn the patient to go to hospital. Our AI would be that trigger. I am so pleased this very thing is being pursued in the second US data gathering trial. If we can nail down an initial diagnosis as well all the better.
I believe the future looks very bright for this company. But it better get a move on.
