If their best case scenario is discovering another Walford Creek they need a new PR guy, Walford Creek has been sitting their undisturbed for almost 20 years for a reason. Miles and miles of black shales everywhere, why not get the drill cuttings from all the old water bores and the few historical drill holes in the area and hit them with trace multi-element analysis for pathfinders like Tl Ga Ge Sb & As ? Would at least point them in the right direction at very little cost.
