All new tests to be approved by the TGA might now include sensitivity results of Omicron variants. ( similar to country by country approvals in Europe after CE mark was already approved, goal posts are constantly changing the a world with COVID )
They vary to a great degree from the original Wuhan variant, so that POC testing might have to readjust, similar to the vaccines.
Short positions might be those who expect such adjustments and hence delays.
A shorter increase is never a good sign.
