I need to get this right: the pilot trials were to collect COVID coughs, right? The purpose at the time was all about collecting samples and once the trials finished then TK said the data would train the algo to recognise that specific data sound. In an ASX Announcement on 23 November it said:
“ResApp is using data collected in these studies to develop and train machine learning algorithms to identify COVID 19 from cough sounds recorded on a smartphone”
I guess once the algos are trained the original cough sounds could be re run to see if they now can do as they say. If so, I would expect a positive preliminary announcement stating that. Then we would need to run other studies/trials on new cough sounds to affirm what they claim before FDA or other medical authorities would rush the AI into action.
