MSB Trading 2021 - paradigm shift, page-9659

Whilst sin-binned, I was doing some light reading in 'the place where posters go to die' (wahoo, for those not aware), and I stumbled across this:

"That’s ridiculously flattering - there’s literally nothing that I could tell the acknowledged global expert in this field. If I had a direct line to SI then I would be on it all day asking questions. I’ve talked to experts all over the world on stem cells, I’ve attended the global conferences both in person and on-line. All the cognoscenti that you meet at these events know his background, expertise and experience in the field. He has collaborated on multiple papers in the field, presided over more than 1,000 patents and has all of the IP tied up in manufacturing, composition of matter and end uses. His research is always groundbreaking and that continued with the presentation this week. This is a new medical science and everyone is learning fast including SI and the other researchers and specialist doctors - most medicos outside the cutting edge researchers know almost nothing about this research. The trash talking of SI by some idiots on the internet is an embarrassment to themselves (and possibly to their children and so on down to the third or fourth generation). In doing so, they exhibit their ignorance of stem cells and their lack of respect for a pioneer and giant in the field.".


By this definition, I'm an idiot. Yet, I'm not embarrassed? Is it because I am an idiot and my brain is too idiotic to comprehend?


Or is all this just PR bunkum, as follows:

1. SI hasn't been a 'Prof' or a Professor for decades. If he was in the cub scouts when he was younger, should we not call him 'Cubby'?
2. SI hasn't worked as a Doctor or Scientist for decades.
3. SI is the CEO of Mesoblast. He has been for over 14 years. That's what I judge him on as a shareholder of Mesoblast. That is his role in this company. That's all I am concerned about - others like to immerse themselves in romance and nostalgia and elevate themselves by being 'pure of heart'. Some 'idiots' believe that the 'pure of heart' are the most dangerous liars of all.
4. By giving all these accolades to SI, you are displaying an utter 'lack of respect' for the people within MSB that are working on this science as 'Professors' and 'Doctors' and 'Scientists'. They aren't the CEO!!!
5. If MSB doesn't get to commercialization, SI won't be referred to as a 'giant in the field'. He will most likely be referred to in a similar way as Arnold Caplan is now. I'm sorry if this reality is unpalatable. I'm not really sorry. Stomp your feet, it might help - works for me.
6. Four generations prior to me are now all scratching at their coffins to get out and defend me. The four generations after me (one present currently) flip you the bird. Take my word for it.
