- A private swimming pool in your backyard so you don't have to swim with the masses
- Bookstores so you do not have to borrow books that others have touched
- Your own private fire service as you are worried about the response times of the public one
- Private health as you can't be bothered waiting with everyone else
- Your own security patrols as the police don't have enough resources to guard your property.
- Channel 7, 10 etc as you don't like the ABC
Question is where do you draw the line on Government funding? If the Government provides a standard service, why should it then subsidise a private service as well?
