It's all smoke and mirrors, and as we all know, figures (and statistics) can be dressed up, manipulated and presented any way you wish to support the story you want to tell.
I won't even begin to get in to the power brokers, big money, and politics behind housing. Suffice to say, it isn't all about releasing more land. In any case, housing is all about fundamentals. If the average person (or family) cannot afford the average house, you have a problem. We've had that problem for well over 5 years now, and we're going to pay dearly.
