and here in lays the conundrum that quite frankly i cant fathom.
in as much as if Dudley Dimwit aka his majesty Scomo, is somewhat fearful of a backlash should a LIB/nat Gov sign off on Pep-11 thus releasing a huge area to development and bolstering their own directive of utilising Gas, why would you delay it any longer than needed ?
The general public are as bright as 2 short planks. The collective memory is only challenged by Goldfish.
It ,to this humble reader, would make far more sense to sign it...and get on the front foot and get things happening.
By the time an election rolls around it would be old news( last years ) . There would have been plenty of time and oppprtunity to promote the benefits and spin it as a GOOD thing.... drowning out the bleachers.
I just dont see it as the dynamite some think.
Also...i would love someone to call his majesty's bluff and ask him front up.... "what exactly do you (personally) object to ? What is the "science" you believe appropriate to your reticence? I.e.. wtf are you on about ? ...and don't go "it's Mabo....or a vibe "
