I am distracting myself to put off pinning for a while.
I recently bought my first non diesel car in about 30 yrs.
This one needs 98 Octane fuel the price of which around Sydney varies from $1.61 to $2.15 a litre on any one day Thats a difference of up to $35-$40 to fill up.
Never cheap in well to do areas, but always some cheapies in other areas. I reckon that’s unscrupulous.
Over a week I can travel a fair bit around Sydney and to the Central and South Coasts.
Tonight I downloaded a free app that shows a searchable map of all Sydney fuel locations and their fuel pricing.
If I plan ahead and use the app I can buy well into the cheapest range on my travels without driving too far out of my way … if I click on the site I want to go to I even get sat nav directions.
$1500 to $2000 annual savings seems worthy of the minor effort.
