The fact that PLL also did not take up their 1 for 35 rights in the recent CR also is an issue. While in the scheme of things this only cost them a small percent dilution, it did open the door for someone to pick up almost 33 million shares . My thought at the time (and even still) is that Piedmont must have already lined up an entity to replace PLL. PLL has a huge cap raise ahead of them and could use the huge gains from Sayona to offset the CAPEX needed.
