@Zafi Tiana - interesting report about the internal workings of a country under extreme pressure: Covid and a huge migrant population and now, also, the automatic front-line position of France within the EU, seeing Angela Merkel has retired (she had her domestic critics, too) is posing huge challenges to Macron or anyone in his position.
I have a soft spot for Macron, but know he is foremost a politician, but I see him as benign.

The challenge of a pandemic is something no-one within this generation and the one before has any experience in (apart from AIDS, but most of us were not affected by it, with the exception of South Africa), so we are all struggling, part-drowning in the waters of the unknown. The unfair and invisible economics driven by powerful people mostly is something which will suffer first - because 'they' (the actual handlers of our economies) will not take losses lightly.

So we better all watch out, call our politicians to account - ask questions and protect our democracies in whichever we can - and be prepared for worse times. If I were you I would try and return to Australia, if this is your homeland.

    Take care
    Taurisk
