What I was not initially sure about is the chip on the right and the absence of the AudioPixels Name and Logo.

The chip on the left is the more recent device top view. But the one on the right appears to be a very old prototype with 192 pixels.

The handheld chip from EM website looks simply like a cut and paste of the image from the AP presentation below. You can even see the cut lines. The only difference is that the AudioPixels label was not present on the original but has been added for the AP photo - and editing artefacts on the image AP uses show exactly that. AP has added the logo for its presentation. EM has had access to the same original image - but without the logo - and has clipped it to use it here.

These are all undoubtedly the same level of chips that I have held in my hand a few years ago. None of which had the logo.

I was hoping to see something on these boards that might indicate sources from the EM fab but I can see nothing. From what the Announcement says these could be chips from that very factory, but packaged local in Israel.

What I would like to know is how this announcement relates to TowerJazz's involvement. It would be strange to have all these years of involvement only to have that end here. Could it be that TJ may end up making AP's chips for the West?

As for the specs, these are all very good and what I would expect, given all we have been told to date.
20Hz - 20KHz - Brilliant range!
0.01% THD 100 (Hz) - 1KHz, -80dB - That sounds like brilliant quality and loudness for single chip!
