G'day 03boz. Thanks for posting that. I gave you a tick up. Just a couple of thoughts. 1. It is not hard to imagine who is behind this sudden concern regarding proliferation. My first guess would be someone who only has old technology and is trying to get a couple of $billion loan guarantee from the government to build an out of date, huge power consuming 2nd generation enrichment plant that everyone knows is obsolete but they have no choice because they let the very technology that they are now trying to stop just slip straight through their not very smart fingers a few years back. Any thoughts who that might be?? LOL. 2. It never ceases to amaze me how people think that knowledge can just be forgotten!! Take the non-proliferation people for example. They seem to think that the world could be disarmed, in a nuclear sense, and that everything would then be hunky dory in the world, peace wise, - no more nuclear war threat, right?? CRAP!!! If all countries disarmed, nuclear weapons wise, and a conventional war then started, how long do they think it would take the side that is losing to dig out "those old atomic bomb plans that we used to have lying around here somewhere" and start making atomic weapons again??? NOT BLOODY LONG I TELLS YA. The genie is out of the bottle and cannot be put back in the bottle. The knowledge is out there, end of story, just like everyone knows that laser enrichment works and I would bet my bottom dollar that heaps of countries are working on how it is done right now. If the Yanks do not do it they will find themself with old technology and countries like Iran will work it out sooner or later anyway. So surely no government is stupid enough to listen to such rubbish when we now need nuclear power more than ever, because of the greenhouse gas situation, after they caved in to the anti-nuclear lobby years ago and stopped building nuclear power plants. If they had not then the greenhouse situation would not be as bad as it is now because so much more power in the ensuing period would have been nuclear generated and not by burning coal. Just the thoughts of a rampant SLX fan so make your own decisions.
