I hope and think you're right that a re-rate will happen if – big if – the numbers warrant it. Until that time, I think AZY will continue on the disappointing path it's been on. Like you, I don't know why the market has not voted with its wallet for AZY with all it has to offer. No one does, regardless of how knowledgeable they sound in their explanations after each drop. As you say, doubt in that "if" factor is certainly part of the reason.

The point I wanted to make in my initial post was not a whinge about the share price movements, which I've come to expect and now trade on. It was a warning – especially to young and new investors. The endless repetition of the reasons why AZY is a good bet (quality and quantity of land, good management, strong JVs...you know the drill) can make investors think that every spike in the share price is the start of the boom. My dislike of Power's interviews comes from this. Unfortunately, cautious people can come across as party poopers, while enthusiastic and optimistic people are usually loved... at least until things go sour.

Hope and positivity are nice, but have the potential to do far more harm than the worst troll ever could. Trolls can hurt feelings, but generally people see them for what they are and dismiss their nasty, baseless comments (or ignore them entirely thanks to the button). They may influence people to not buy a stock, which might make someone miss out on a profit, but at least they won't lose anything.

But high-octane optimists (hope-peddlers?) can influence people to invest, which can have serious consequences if things go badly. They can't be proved wrong or dismissed like the trolls. As well as offering the potent narcotic of hope, and sounding knowledgeable by quoting figures and charts, they always have the unknown future on their side. So, even after a share price collapse, comments that suggest the take-off is still "just around the corner" tap straight into FOMO and serve to get, or keep, people in. It's those who are new to investing or new to the mining sector who are most vulnerable and likely to pay attention to hyped-up chairmen and anonymous posters on community websites.

@AG1989 posted recently saying that he "guarantees" good results will flow soon. While I hope he's right, I'm pretty sure it wasn't an offer to compensate you if you lose money. I'd say to anyone considering buying in to treat AZY as the promising but risky spec stock it is, and not get carried away by the hype.
