    it is impractical to have more than one phosphate producer in the NT given the high levels of capital required to setup the operation. The verdant CEO mentions that the biggest impediment to development of ammaroo will be capex. I think once they complete their feasibility studies that Capex will be higher than $3bn.

    Avenira's scoping study of a DAP/MAP operation in 2011 was $2.5bn.

    Also DAP/MAP is a dirty process that has environmental problems that would be hard to sell to the local population and government.

    If a dap/map plant was to be built in the NT it would have occurred by now.

    More likely i could see verdant partnering with Avenria to setup a phos acid operation in the NT that would be much more sustainable both economically and environmentally into the future. Most likely this project would have a similar development timeframe to verdant building a dap/map plant anyhow.

    Avenira is in the box seat here and the market cap doesn't really reflect any of that yet....
