Came across this, up to the 20 minuite mark they talk about Barrick current operation so you can skip that but from the 20 miniute mark Barrick’s Rob Krcmarov talks about how Barrick evaluate exploration targets, Note Guyana is circled as a exploration focus area. Then from about the 28 mark he talks about how Barrick work together with small cap companies.

While the was no mention of TRY it does reinforce my view that Barrick are interested in try and not in a hostile way, in that Rob mention how Barrick are happy to partner with a small mining companies send money exploring and if it doesn't work out for them, walk away leaving the miner unencumbered
