I don't know if it was me or not
all I know is that business is complex and future hasn't happened yet
Being able to predict what will happen is difficult
you need to look the economy, business and financials (oh and maybe the odd chart
they are full of indicators
eg interest rates, unemployment, gdp etc might tell you where we are in the cycle and where we might be headed
Then you have to look at the actual business eg nature of the product, quality of management, the competition
after that you might like to look at financial trends that go into the future eg growth in earning, ROE, debt to equity etc
Pull it all together and make a forecast
confirm it with some market indicators such director buying, anaylst recommendations
AND STILL YOU GET IT WRONG
what I have noticed is that people get it right a few times but mostly wrong
you only every hear about the times they got it right though and when they do get it right they never let you forget...lol
there are doubters and those that say they know, I tend to be in the doubter camp as that is the only real one as far I can see
