Going to be really hard to outperform the benchmark if you don't have a view with conviction. You then run the risk of getting it wrong and have to justify fees above an ETF if you benchmark hug.
Magellan has highlighted the manager specific risk for these businesses, and imo GQG is not proven performer. Plenty of better options on the ASX then paying overs for a fund manager like GQG.
