Mate , I stand by my above post made just last week as to reasons why the SP has stalled out. And those factors were only really confirmed in the Announcement today.

In many ways , the announcement today was just a desperate attempt in my view to answer shareholders' grievances . And they answered obviously ....albeit too late because the damage was done weeks ago in NOT arresting the slide in the SP when they should have been promoting like hell out of the benefits and strength of position in their Moblan Acquisition.

This comes back to what I assert in that some BOD's generally are oblivious to the timing effect and need of an announcement in generally supporting the SP.

What other reason apart from some of the more sinister ones which suggest that dropping the SP was some sort of overriding plan to somehow advantage the more privileged Institutional Investors over the core Mom & Pop investors back home in OZ........sneaky.png

And on that note , do you actually think that Quebec gave a damn about the small holders who carried Nemaska for the better part of a decade as a listed company only to be left with absolutely nothing in its collapse. No wonder the legal fraternity is frothing over the bit about that one. Especially as we all pretend to move on to lithium-ion ' Nirvana ' and towards the Electrification promised land.

So this announcement today in my opinion was nothing more than damage control which was obviously far too little and too late. They should have put together a road show and peppering of positive attributes regarding the Moblan project acquisition once they saw that the Market was not likely to hold the issue price of that raise.

I mean to be over $350 million down on a transaction which cost you $123 million when you could have been up by taking the same amount of stake in Ontario's Frontier is nothing short of ridiculous and NOT good business in my opinion. The Market knows this and is punishing Sayona accordingly. There is really no going back from this short of Quebec actually stepping in and making a positive announcement regarding its preliminary intentions on approved funding levels.

There will be no off-take until Novonix results are confirmed , and even then there would be some period of time lapse between when the market receives this confirmation to when any proposed off-taker would be likely to act. If the markets are soft in the new year , then they won't have to move because they would now be in more of a position of bargaining strength with weaker Lithium SP's and values.

Plus with Sayona , you are always going to have the uncertainties with regards to the so called ' Blending ' of ore proposal , because it is largely Hypothetical until it can be proven without a doubt with trial production runs. And to do that , they have to have obtained their Environmental and Social License to mine and break ground at Authier.

And these are NOT downramps folks - they are just clear and basic facts and cold hard realities. If you think otherwise , then you are simply delusional.

The announcement today was almost as though the BOD said .....' OK then , you want your announcement ......here it is and delivered it on a down day almost to say ......' What good did it do ya '

Having said that though , if the markets steady tonight which they look like they will , then we could see the value in this announcement for what it might also had been intended for. Either way , the Market will be the final judge . And it has so far.
