Personally, I put in at least 20 hrs of research on a company before investing. (I don't have a time target, just generally, it takes at least that long before I feel like I might have an edge on the market).

Without doing full DD, my feeling is that any -100 μm flake graphite mine that can make it into production will do very well this decade. At a glance, Volt's resource is 5% Cg with a 461 Mt resource. Obviously that's nowhere near the class of Vittangi, but it's also dramatically inferior to Syrah's 10% Cg, 1422 Mt resource. Like Syrah, Volt aims to produce a concentrate product that will likely be sold to Chinese producers - that's in contrast to Talga and Nouveau Monde who aim to produce an end anode product with much higher margins.

None of this is to say you should or shouldn't invest (like I said that requires more DD) - just my quick thoughts. For myself, Talga is my only graphite play, and it's the single longest position in my portfolio.
