Boric's election will spook the markets for a short period but his power is limited by a split right and left congress and the right controls the all important Senate. Boric's party has some representation in the lower house but very little in the Senate. The Chilean people thought about their vote Mr P76.

He actually has a policy platform that is reasonable, targeting the ultra-wealthy and the BIGGER END of town. But it has to get it through the Congress and Senate.
