I would hope that AA does not fold his investment over into a possible new entity within the PE stable if that is what eventuates. I have seen it happen before where a lowball offer is accepted and the major shareholder has his interests covered with an offer of new shares in the company created by PE for the purpose of the takeover. Very selfish action by a founding board member but as you say retail are often left to suck it up by the market.
