1. This might blow your mind, but you don't actually need proof that your product works to obtain a patent. Data may help convince the examiner, but is not a requirement.
2. BIT have tested BIT225 in relation to covid in animals and in a test tube. They have NOT done clinical trials (i.e. tested it in people with covid). We will obviously only know if it works after it is tested in people. Sadly, as with all drug trials, the chances are high that it will fail.
