Well Geoff Wilson seems to think he can make a lot of money from undervalued funds like MGF. In fact he has set up a fund specifically to do just that - buy funds trading d extreme discounts.
and here is something of interest in a similar vein.... You know that guy Henry Jennings from Marcus Today - he used to work for Macquarie Bank. He is recommending, in a waffly sort of way, that his subscribers buy MFG because Hamish Douglas' stock picking acumen ie his "brain" is trading at a discount in fact "on sale". Might've been on the sauce.
Here it is .... "My final ****** tip was MFG. I have been down on this one for so many dollars it is not funny. But maybe there is a price for everything. I like buying smart peoples IP at a discount. Geoff Wilson is very good at it. Buying those discount LICs recently. Hamish is on sale. His brain is trading at levels not seen for years and around 2000c, it may be worth having a punt. I have written about it in the last few newsletters, but he has been humbled and I suspect reminded that if you put yourself up on a pedestal it can be ripped away from you. Will it make him stronger and a better investor? Probably. Will he listen to the market more and not believe his own hype? Hopefully."
