Let me tell you a little story about the bloke I know that was trading flat out prior to the GFC. Well he got stuck when the market collapsed and was awaiting for the market to come back. In the meantime there have been two years of tax.............he either has to take a large loss so as to pay his tax on profits he does not own anymore or not do his tax at all and hide in the cupboard till the tax man cometh, and he will
Lesson, never put profits back in I guess, or dont take the profit until you are completed so there is no tax to pay till the end.
It was just an example that I knew of.
