They'll have an unmanned wellhead platform with dry Xmas trees, connected via umblicals to a leased FPSO sitting in deeper waters.
Back then (1999), the platform was in 30m depth & the Buffalo Venture FPSO sat in 300m water depth. Contractor selected for the WHP activity was Icon, FPSO came from Modec, who took it to Thailand at Jasmine oilfield after Buffalo. Total Dev cost them USD88mil. Field was abandoned when the net cashback became marginal due to high water cut (88% wtr & 12% oil), so was an easy decision for Nexen to pull the plug on a low volume, low Netback & high capex asset at the time.

Haven't seen Santos put out any notice on precautionary outage at its Bayu Undan facility with the Liberdade FPSO, so I guess situation should b allright.
