I'm not a financial planner or expert but I think the limits on SMSF funds you mentioned apply to funds in "pension phase". I had to sell some (other) shares to take up options and more recently to cover my pension. I'll have to sell more next year to cover a larger pension...due to the fantastic increase in my WBT shares.
